Own a Company in Singapore

  1. Operating normally;

  2. Conducting substantive business activities;

  3. Hiring at least one local employee (if required);

  4. Having a fixed business location and a lease agreement (if required).

Apply For the Employment Pass

The salary for the position needs to be determined based on the applicant's specific conditions through the compass points system.

Conditions for Registering a Singapore Company
Company Name      Only English names with the suffix PTE. LTD. (private limited)
     can be registered.
Shareholders
  • At least one, can be a natural person or a company;
  • No nationality restrictions.

  • Natural persons aged 18 or above;
  • At least one local director (Singapore citizen or permanent resident).

    Company Secretary      Must be a Singaporean resident/permanent
         resident and meet the qualifications of the Companies Act.
    Registered Capital      Minimum is 1 SGD.
    Registered Address
  • Must be a local address in Singapore;
  • The registered address and operational address can be different.
    		•
    Scope of Business      No specific restrictions, can be filled in according to specific needs;
         Description of the main business activities (up to 2 activities).

    Employment Pass Application Conditions

    1. The applicant must meet the qualifying salary (fixed monthly salary compared to one-third of the highest salary of local PMEs);

    2. The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or higher (the diploma needs to be verified by the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center or a third-party organization designated by the Singapore Ministry of Manpower);

    3. Must have work experience related to company operations;

    4. Must pass the compass assessment and score at least 40 points (as shown in the diagram below):

    If the applicant meets any of the following conditions, they are exempt from COMPASS:

    • Fixed monthly salary of at least 22,500 SGD;

    • Working in Singapore for no more than one month;

    • Applying to become an intra-corporate transferee to Singapore br
      (according to World Trade Organization conditions).

    The validity period is bound to EP/ONE PASS/TECH PASS/PEP.
